Jessica Koch is the lead teacher at FRCS Elementary.
It has been my privilege to teach 4th grade at Front Range Christian over the last five years. From day one of my tenure here, I have known there was something different about this place. This ‘something’ fills the space with joy and is felt by anyone and everyone who chooses to take a seat at the shared table of our school.
So, what makes FRCS so different? The difference is that there is a shared mission for Christ seen and felt throughout our campus and from which everything else flows; it is the foundation for which we do everything.
Because of this, it’s only natural that relationships matter, because they mattered to Jesus. Jesus did real life alongside His disciples, teaching them, training them, and loving them. There is a distinct beauty that is portrayed in the midst of this beautiful community that has been formed both past and present. The desire to form intentional relationships with students, families, and teachers matters to who we are as a school.
Whether you’re walking down the halls, sitting in Chapel, or visiting Holy Grounds, you find there is a familiarity that you are walking among family both young and old. We pray together, worship together, and live life together on the hills and in the valleys, and there’s something that is so special about being able to experience God’s goodness together in the midst.
Are we perfect? Not a chance! But our mission to follow wholeheartedly after God remains the same day to day and that’s something I will continue to choose to be a part of every day.
