Not only have I taught at FRCS, but we have been a family here since 1997. The greatest part of that experience has been the love of Christ and personal support shown to us through the community of parents and teachers extending far beyond the school walls.
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom (taught me faithfulness)
- Growing Kids God’s Way by Gary and Anne Marie Ezzo (gave me insight)
- The Princess by Lori Wick (spoke to me about submission)
- Thank You, Mr. Falker by Patricia Polacco (reminded me why I teach)
- Light from Arcturus by Mildred Walker (taught me to appreciate where God places me)
I’m a Colorado native and love to be outdoors walking, gardening, and being with my family. Our 1940s home gives us lots of time to practice home improvement skills! I also enjoy cooking, sewing and finding time to read. Cats, chickens and rabbits make our home a busy place to be!
I love teaching the young child! It is amazing to see them experience God’s Word through fresh eyes and see the “building blocks” of learning fit into place.
We have had children continually enrolled at FRCS since 1997. I have been teaching Pre-Kindergarten since 2009. This place is certainly home for our family!
