I love being able to share my love for Jesus Christ with the children and families here. I am able to integrate biblical truth in all subject areas and contribute to the building of His Kingdom.
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- What’s So Amazing About Grace? by Philip Yancey
- Shattered Dreams by Larry Crabb
- Ruthless Trust by Brennan Manning
- The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren
- One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp
I have been married to my husband Dean for 32 years and have three adult children: Katherine, Mitchell, and Nathaniel. I love to spend time in the mountains hiking, fishing, and enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. I am a voracious reader and am usually reading two or three books at the same time. I have a ministry to International students and have hosted over 160 students from all over the world in my home. I am currently involved in a weekly Bible study with Muslim students. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I attend WaterStone Community Church.
For the last 17 years, I have kept journals of some of the hilarious things my kindergarten students have said. Each year at kindergarten graduation, I publish an “Overheard in Kindergarten…” for the parents and families. Someday, when I retire, I plan to write a book including some of these sayings. I love my job here at FRCS where the children keep my smiling and laughing!
