I love the community at FRCS. I love the community amongst the faculty and staff as well as the parents. Through communion with Christ, you can have real community, and I have seen examples of that at FRCS.
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- The Sacred Journey by Frederick Buechner
- Embracing the Love of God by James Bryan Smith
- Help Thanks Wow by Anne Lamott
- The First Days of School by Harry Wong
- The Spirit of Food: 34 writers on feasting and fasting toward God edited by Leslie Leyland Fields
I love volunteering with my girls’ classes when I get the opportunity. I also enjoy volunteering in the nursery at Deer Creek Church. When I have a few minutes to myself, I like to cook and try making things I find on Pinterest. A great stress reliever for me is knitting (even though I can only make scarves!)
I like to spend time with my family. We usually hang out at the local library, Skate City, or our neighborhood park. If I’m not with my family, you can usually find me wandering the aisles of Target or having coffee with friends.
