Over the years of teaching science my wonder at the world has turned into praise for God as science has opened my eyes to see God’s hand in the details of His amazing Creation. Teaching social studies has allowed me to see God’s Providence at work in His-story, as well as the creativity of God as seen in the many unique cultures around the world. Through God’s orchestration, I am excited to have the privilege of sharing this perspective with students at Front Range. I am also excited about the opportunities provided by a community that allows me to develop deeper relationships with both students and their families. After 9 years of working in the public schools, I felt a yearning to be able to share my faith in the classroom and have the opportunity to impact students in a greater way. I am thankful that God has called me in this direction and am looking forward to the coming year!
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.

I love the outdoors, photography, just about all things technological, music, reading and spending time with my wife.
Three years as a camp counselor in high school led me to realize I enjoyed working with youth in the middle to high school age range. I believe my experience in the great outdoors and a general wonder of God’s amazing creation led to an interest in science, while my experience in another culture as a missionary kid led to my interest in social studies. These combined interests led to my unwavering choice of my college major. I continue to teach because I love what I do! It’s incredibly fun! I enjoy building relationships with students and being a part of students’ lives as they grow in my classroom and beyond.
