Danny Cometto is the Chairman of the Board for Front Range Christian School.
Not all education is equal. Not even all Christian Education is equal. From the moment Kathy and I first walked through the doors of Front Range Christian School almost 15 years ago, we knew that God called us into a partnership. We felt at home. The culture and community at FRCS is intentional and is perhaps the most important part of FRCS and Christian Education in general. A strong and healthy culture both draws families and faculty in and pushes some out. It protects those whom we hold dear. The foundation of this culture at FRCS is our Statement of Faith, our Mission, and our Vision.
Within this intentional culture is a safe playground where Kathy and I partner with the school to prepare our children for life. Every step of the way, from kindergarten through senior high graduation, we have worked with each teacher to speak into all areas of our students’ lives. Gradually they learn to take responsibility for themselves, their thoughts, their actions, and their consequences — prepared to be culture makers in the world around them.
I love that the parents’ responsibility in this partnership is not optional. It is core to FRCS and a part of the mission. As parents, we need to be involved, work with the teachers, and express our family needs. There is no option to just drop our kids off at the door and abdicate the responsibility God has given us. And in return, I have seen the faculty’s love and dedication to pursue each and every student.
It is that love and dedication that inspires me to pour even more into the school. Front Range Christian School is a special place, different from most Christian schools, creating a culture among Christian schools that will impact the world for Christ.
