Danny Cometto is the Chairman of the Board for Front Range Christian School.
This past Monday, the Board had the privilege of joining the all-school staff meeting. It’s always a heartwarming experience to witness firsthand the dedication and passion our staff pours into their work. By understanding their challenges and celebrating their triumphs, we gain an even deeper appreciation for the incredible team we have at FRCS. I want to take this opportunity to share my heartfelt gratitude and admiration for each one of them.
As I sit here at The Master’s University, reflecting on our family’s journey through FRCS, I’m filled with a profound sense of gratitude. Serving on the Board, being an active parent, and experiencing the school community from various perspectives has given me a unique vantage point. Kathy and I have been blessed to partner with FRCS in guiding our children through their stages of faith. Today, I am here as our daughter attends classes and tours the campus, exploring undergraduate programs and seeking God’s direction for her future. Our son is also looking into graduate opportunities, well-prepared for the next steps in his journey. We trust that the Lord is guiding each step they take.
At FRCS, our children begin by learning trust and building relationships in preschool and kindergarten. These early years are crucial as they lay the foundation for their understanding of love, compassion, and community. As they move into elementary school, they continue to learn who Jesus is—not just as a historical figure, but as a loving Savior who cares deeply for them. They begin to grasp the stories and teachings that form the bedrock of our faith.
Transitioning into the later years, our students embark on a journey of spiritual maturity. They are encouraged to deepen their connection with Jesus, moving from knowing about Him to truly knowing Him in their hearts. It’s our hope and prayer that they become adopted children and full heirs of God, embracing their identity in Christ whether during their time at FRCS or later along their journey.
Our staff plays an instrumental role in this transformative process. They care for our children much like one would care for orphans in their affliction—providing love, guidance, and support. They keep themselves unstained from the world, modeling integrity and righteousness, and they instill these values in our students as a core part of their education and spiritual growth. Just as true religion involves caring for those in need, our staff embodies this principle daily, nurturing our children and guiding them toward a deeper faith.
I am reminded of how the disciples walked with Jesus and knew Him personally, yet it wasn’t until He ascended and sent His Spirit that they fully became part of His family, forming the early Church. Similarly, our students may know about Jesus, but through the influence of our dedicated staff, they are invited to experience His presence in their lives. The ultimate goal is for God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) to make His home within each of them, equipping them to become Christian scholars and culture makers for Christ.
This year, as a Board, we are focusing on our Ends statement, specifically on “discerning what is good, right, and noble…compelled by faith.” We believe that true wisdom comes through faith and that our students are being prepared to pursue these virtues courageously. Our staff is instrumental in cultivating this wisdom, guiding students to not only recognize what is right but to have the eloquence, humility, and integrity to influence others positively.
So, when you see a teacher, a member of the facilities crew, a coach, administrative staff, or anyone shepherding your child here at FRCS, please take a moment to thank them. They are more than educators and staff; they are stewards of our children’s spiritual and academic journeys. They meet our children where they are, nurture their growth, and prepare them for lives that honor God and impact the world.
Thank you for being a part of our FRCS community and for partnering with us in this vital mission. Together, we are building a foundation that will last a lifetime and echo into eternity.
