As an executive leader of the Student Leadership Coalition (SLC), I have a hand in the culture of this place. I have the unique opportunity to be involved in the heart of FRCS, with space to weave what I care about into the very fabric of our culture. That, to me, is a very cool thing.
In SLC, we are encouraged to be creative and dream big about what we want this school to look like and how we want to leave our imprint on it. For example, I care about cultivating meaningful connection. God created us to be in communion with one another and did not intend our lives to be walked in isolation. There is value in the kind of connection that brings others together through authentic, meaningful relationships, and I strive to allow this idea to permeate not only my own relationships, but also the very nature of FRCS. This upcoming fall, I’m honored to be a leading figure in a new SLC project that, at its core, fosters connection and unity among the student body.
I’m grateful to be a part of a school that reflects the hearts of its students well and encourages us to shape and reshape our culture with the fingerprints we leave behind.
