What brings you joy? For me, it is children. I love their laughter, their enthusiasm, and yes, even their immaturity. On the hardest days of my job as principal, I find myself walking the halls and playgrounds because it is important for me to remember the “why”. I am reminded of the best parts of my job. Things like being the mystery reader for first grade, helping kids navigate disagreements on the playground, and visiting classrooms to see my teachers and students in action.
I invite you to do the same. I encourage you to take every advantage of the opportunities to experience the joy of our school. I guarantee you will be glad you did!
