As we embark on another exciting year at FRCS, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside such a dedicated and loving community. Our school has always thrived not only in raising up Christian scholars, discipleship and academic excellence, but also in fostering a sense of community that extends far beyond the classroom.
One of the great aspects of our school is the close-knit environment that allows students to form meaningful connections with their peers. Lifelong friendships often begin within the walls of these classrooms and continue to flourish over the years. These friendships are built on shared experiences, mutual support, and the values that they share. As parents, teachers, and mentors, it’s our privilege to guide our students in developing these friendships with Christian brothers and sisters. We are equipping them with lifelong relationships that will serve them well in all aspects of their lives.
For parents within our community, the bonds formed here can also translate into lifelong friendships. As you support your children’s educational journey, you have the opportunity to connect with fellow parents who share your values and aspirations. These connections can lead to deep and lasting friendships that provide you with a network of support and understanding. By attending school events, parent-teacher meetings, and community gatherings, you open doors to forming connections that enrich not only your own life but also the lives of your children.
My children, now adults, made Christian friends while at FRCS. They continue these friendships to this day. It is so encouraging to know that they continue to walk with the Lord and have the support of the great men and women who have the same values and beliefs that were strengthened at FRCS. My wife Carolyn and I also developed lifelong friendships with parents from FRCS. We are so grateful for the partnership we built with the school through our involvement in so many activities. We thought we were helping the school, but in reality, the school was helping us! The more we were involved, the more we actually grew in our relationships with God, our kids, and our friends. We met some of our closest friends while our kids were at FRCS.
In light of this, I encourage each of you to actively participate in our school’s events and social gatherings. These occasions are designed not only to enhance your child’s spiritual growth and education but also to facilitate connections that can stand the test of time. Reach out to fellow parents, strike up conversations, and find common ground—you might be surprised at the depth of friendships that can emerge from such interactions. Get involved!
Let’s remember that FRCS exists to partner with the Christian home and the church in training children for life and equipping them to impact the world for Christ. By building lifelong friendships among our students, parents, and staff, we are living out this mission in a tangible way. I am confident that as we continue to prioritize these connections, our school community will thrive in more ways than we can imagine.
Thank you for being a crucial part of our FRCS community.
