For those who have not yet met him, Scott Perry is the Associate Director of Generosity at Front Range Christian School.
As I begin my second year at FRCS, it is difficult to describe the heartfelt joy I have found in working here. I am beginning to truly understand the importance of Christian education and its role in teaching our children to follow Christ as the true educator of their lives. My own life is being transformed as I grow in trusting and loving our Heavenly Father. It is a true Cinderella story. I am thrilled to be able to share it with those I meet and to hear your stories of transformation!
This transformation allows me to embrace stewardship and generosity at new levels. My role at FRCS has nurtured in me a deeper understanding of God’s provision and His ownership of everything, and I am excited to share that with Christians in all stages of their walk with Christ. In 1 Timothy 6:18-19 Paul encourages Timothy how to teach the growing church:
They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
How do we instill in our children a trust in God that exceeds financial security and a comfortable material life when our culture values these things so highly? We must begin in Scripture and partner with their most essential teachers and guides, you—their parents!
I look forward to meeting more of our community over the course of the 22/23 school year. And I am excited to hear about your path of growth in pursuit of our Father. I hope to learn which aspects of FRCS bring a smile to your face to help connect you with matching interests so that we may all live abundantly in Jesus. I have already met with parents who want to help in this effort, and I encourage all suggestions in that quest.
On the first day of school, August 15, come enjoy pancakes while meeting those in your child’s life who have a genuine desire to help you raise up Christian scholars. I will be there to greet you! Let’s work together, as Godly examples, to prepare our children for life, equipping them to impact the world for Christ.
