John graduated from Front Range Christian School in 2010. He attended FRCS from 3rd grade through graduation. Following is an account, in his words, of his experience at Front Range Christian.
Bringing the Fire of God to the World
Front Range Christian School changed my life. Plain and simple. From my first days as a tiny third grader, the Spirit of God roared through to graduation. The people, parents, teachers, friends, and coaches are what I will remember for a lifetime.
The teachers are simply spectacular. They loved me just as parents love their own offspring. They were drenched with the love that can only be poured from God Himself. And because of that love, they gave me the best possible education.
As a first year student at the Colorado School of Mines, math and science are essential to success. I believe that Front Range Christian School gave me the tools to succeed including problem-solving and critical thinking skills and a strong, concrete Biblical worldview to use amongst a group of people who have no interest in God. Front Range Christian gave me the tools to combat other views that are silly and untrue, while remaining inside Christ’s love for others.
On a spiritual level, several teachers gave me a peek at what it was like to live all-out, relentlessly, passionately and ruthlessly loving the one, true, holy God Almighty, King of the universe. I saw what they had in Christ: the passion, the love, the goodness and the fire for life. A glimpse like that is contagious, and I hurled my life at the footstool of the throne of the Almighty, and nothing has been the same ever since. God, in His ocean of grace, has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams. Front Range Christian has played a crucial role in those blessings.
Front Range Christian School taught me how to live as a soldier in the Lord’s Army, to be a Godly man, to never give up on God’s work, and to see between the lines of the world’s fluffy jargon. Peace, a defense of the Good News, the confidence that only comes from Christ, and an unquenchable desire to dive in and swim in the Bible are just a few things that come to mind when I reflect on what I have learned at Front Range Christian School.
According to Jesus the Messiah, the two greatest commandments are in Luke 10:37: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Front Range Christian School showed me how to live those commands. They also chose to disciple me so that I can go, bring the fire of God into the world, and live with God to the fullest. For that, I am eternally grateful.
