Fearless Groups
We are very excited to bring Fearless groups to our campus again this fall! Fearless is a strengths-based educational program specifically for young people pursuing mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual wellness. Fearless is designed to promote social and emotional development through ten sessions that explore identity, health and wellness, relationships, culture, boundaries, and each person’s unique relationship with Christ. Our Fearless groups meet on Tuesdays during lunch in the Athletic Building. There’s a group for junior high and a separate group for senior high. The groups will be led by Sarah Rohan and Sam Kunnemann from Cornerstone Christian Counseling as well as our intern from Denver Seminary, Miriam Ulmer, and faculty member Aubren Self. Fearless is open to all students grade 7-12 and is free. Sessions include check-ins, activities embedded with foundational truths, and time to process.
As you know, adolescence is a vibrant and dynamic season of life. It’s a time of intense emotions, trying to fit in, feeling self-conscious or insecure, taking risks, and being hyper-aware when something isn’t fair. Fearless groups are led with empathy and vulnerability, meeting group members where they are while pulling from the leaders’ own experiences, struggles, and journey with Christ. Fearless is a safe space where group members can connect with each other and feel loved by God. Encourage your junior high or senior high student to check it out!
Fearless groups launch with a pizza lunch on Tuesday, September 24. This will be a time to meet the facilitators, ask questions, and let the facilitators know what students are looking for in a group. Fearless groups meet every Tuesday during lunch through December 3, 2024.
