Whether it’s the visual arts, dancing, or technical arts, FRCS students have many opportunities to expand their horizons and discover how they are made in the image of a Creator God.
Classes at the elementary level include an inclusion in the specials mix for visual arts. Other arts classes, such as dance, are available as DEEP classes and special after school courses. See the elementary curriculum page for more details.
In junior high, 7th grade students take a full year of art and explore their own creativity in a variety of mediums. Students may also take a semester of art in 8th grade. 8th grade students also may choose to take a class in the Genesis center. Junior high students also have an elective block where they can choose to be part of a dance class, handbell choir, music tech class or drumline. See the junior high course catalog for details.
At the senior high level, fine arts electives outside of drama and music cover a wide range of interests, including audio engineering, dance, digital photography, drawing and painting, videography, and more. See the senior high course catalog for more information.
