While FRCS works to keep tuition affordable, we recognize that some families may still find tuition a bit out of reach. Here are some proven strategies to make an FRCS education financially accessible for your family. Following the strategies is an example of some in action.
Prayer for your child’s education and means to provide assistance is an action to allow God to see your heart. With prayer, you invite God into your life to see your heart. Through this, He will do more than you or I can imagine. Philippians 4:6 says, “Don’t worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God.”
FRCS sells merchant retailer certificates to families to reduce tuition costs. To utilize RaiseRight benefits to reduce tuition, purchase gifts cards for stores, restaurants, and online retailers where you or your family and friends already shop. A portion of that gift card purchase applies to your tuition account as a credit once each year.
“It takes a village to raise a child.” A community can come together to raise your child in a distinctly Christian environment. We have provided a template for partnership letters to send to friends, family, and loved ones to support your student’s education. We have also provided a template to keep those supporters aware of the impact of their gift on your student’s success.
We at FRCS have financially partnered with families to provide a Christ-centered education through our tuition assistance program. Financial assistance is given on a need based and can vary from year to year. The average award is approximately $3,000.
A Note on Tithing – Tithing is a reflection of knowing the resources we are given come from God — that they are actually His. As a partner with the church, tithing is an element of faith to give back to God what He has provided. 2 Corinthians 9:6 says, “Consider this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” The Tuition Assistance committee considers net worth after tithing to the church.
FRCS is proud to offer a merit scholarship program for new, incoming high school students. New students entering grades 9-12 with a minimum 3.7 GPA are eligible for $1000 scholarships, renewable until graduation. Please apply online.
ACE scholarships is a partner organization offering tuition scholarships to low-income families attending private schools. If your family qualifies for the federal free and reduced lunch program, you may be eligible for a $2000 scholarship for grades K-8 and $3000 for grades 9-12. If your student has been accepted into FRCS, please contact the admissions office to learn more about the ACE application process.
If you refer full-time students to FRCS, you may be eligible to receive $350 per full time student referred to FRCS each year. Please visit the Friend Referral web page for details.
Ask your church if they offer scholarships to train and educate students to be disciples of Christ through private education.
Students can own their education through working a summer job or weekend job to provide funds for tuition. Creating a tuition matching system can spur on more tuition raised for your student.
