Raising Up Christian Scholars

Genesis Center

An educational distinctive that offers students a place where their Imagination, Creative, Innovative Visions can come to life through 3D printers, laser cutters, metal working, welding, and woodworking.

We find that certain specific skills are universally beneficial at allowing a student to manipulate the physical world. Many “Maker Spaces” seem to overemphasize technologically advanced equipment, but we believe that “mundane” tools offer at least as much benefit to the student. For instance, a student’s ability to measure and mark accurately will always remain important, even if that student is cutting with a laser. We also find that the primary manner in which students gain competency is repetition.

At FRCS, students are challenged to think for themselves: to pursue questions of purpose and faith; to think critically about the world around them so that they can engage it, not avoid it; to make their faith their own so that they can remain strong in it even after they graduate

Athletics

With 19 competitive teams, FRCS provides students the opportunity to challenge their athletic abilities while working with coaches who care deeply about their character development.

Arts

Nearly 76% of the student body participate in the arts. Through artistic creativity in the areas of music, music technology, drama, speech, dance and the visual arts, students are encouraged to pursue the abilities which make humans unique in God’s creation.

Based on the core values and philosophy of FRCS, the mission of the Fine Arts Department is to produce students with a Christian mindset towards each discipline who will act justly, love mercy and walk humbly before God (Micah 4:6). Students are encouraged to pursue the abilities which make humans unique in God’s creation through artistic creativity in the areas of music, music technology, drama, speech, dance, and the visual arts. Students are inspired to use their gifts and passions to glorify God and bless others as they develop abilities that will equip them to become innovative leaders and impact the world for Christ.

Culinary Arts
