As an alumnus of FRCS, I know how deeply impactful the staff was to me. After graduating, I realized how thankful I was for the opportunity to be taught by educators who wanted to collaborate with me on my learning, not just teach me content. This was a driving factor in my desire to pursue education and join a staff that cares about developing young adults as human beings, not just students.
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- Humilitas by John Dickson
- Living a Cross Centered Life by C.J. Mahaney
- What School Should Be by Ted Dintersmith
- An Improbable School by Paul Tweed and Liz Seubert
- To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
When not at work, you can usually find me watching or playing some kind of sport. I am a huge baseball enthusiast and love to watch games no matter which team is playing. I am a die hard Rockies fan (which means I have been greatly disappointed a lot). Being a Colorado native, I also follow the Broncos, Avalanche, and Nuggets. When not watching sports, I love to read about and watch all things Star Wars and Marvel related. I love these stories because they allow you to get deeply involved with the characters and have deep questions and themes to ponder. I usually spend time watching the new released movies/episodes and then spend time discussing them with my closest friends. Lastly, I love to spend time with my friends and family. We often play games, share meals, and laugh till our cheeks hurt!
If you are ever in the mood to discuss whether Team Cap or Team Iron Man were correct, I am your guy. However, I will never be able to pick a side, because I understand where both sides came from.
The Jedi Council is responsible for the downfall of the Republic and the number one reason Anakin Skywalker turned into Darth Vader. If you would like to debate this, feel free to come see me. 🙂
