At FRCS, it is a privilege to integrate Scriptural truths into each subject area and to observe the students learning how to make those connections on their own, leading them to greater worship of God, an increased passion to know His Word and a desire to spread the great news found within Its pages. The vision FRCS has embraced for discipleship of the students, the staff and the leadership excites me. I am thrilled to be part of training students to impact the world for Christ in the current stages of their lives and also for the opportunities awaiting them for the rest of their lives!
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly
- The Perfect Horse by Elizabeth Letts
- Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table by Louie Giglio
- Extreme Devotion from The Voice of the Martyrs
- Rethinking Discipleship by Dr. Alan Pue
My family and I love to tour historic sites on the East Coast and realize we’ll never learn all the fascinating things we could possibly know about places such as Colonial Williamsburg, Fort McHenry, and the Gettysburg Battlefield. We love to visit the dramatic beauty of the national parks in Colorado and surrounding states. Camping near Mount Rushmore and walking the Presidential Trail to learn more about how these great men impacted our country is one of our favorite summertime activities. We also enjoy spending time with our horses, playing croquet and bocce ball, and also learning how to play new board/card games.
Visiting family in my former hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is always a treat. Yes, I enjoy eating Pennsylvania Dutch foods such as shoo-fly pie, chow chow, red beet eggs, hamloaf, and pork roasted with sauerkraut. I love journeying through the lush, green farmland…even with a neighbor who invited me to ride in her horse and buggy. And I am always ready for a fast-paced game of Dutch Blitz!
