I love Front Range Christian’s mission to partner with families and the community which that creates. I know personally what the partnership has meant to my own family and see it as a real privilege to offer it from the other side as well. This community is incredible!
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
Being surrounded by books in the FDC (Falcon Discovery Center) each day, it’s hard for me to narrow down my list of favorites to a reasonable number. However here are a few that have impacted me over the years.
- Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
- Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence
- Teaching Redemptively by Donovan Graham
- Mirror for the Soul by Alice Fryling
- Counterfeit Gods by Timothy Keller
When I’m not in the classroom, I love to cook, eat, read, travel, hike, and hang out with my family. I am an active member at Trinity Anglican, where I continue to learn more and more about God’s great love for me. I am also passionate about mental health and host support groups for moms, adults, and teenagers that focus on mental health issues and faith.
By the time I was eight, God had given me two distinct passions: teaching and all things German. Those passions and giftings have shaped my life and opened up doors of opportunity to serve Him on two continents and in multiple countries. I am so blessed to work in a place where I can daily do what I was created to do. I’ve been married to Dwight since 1990 and have two amazing adult children, Bekka and Kai. We’ve also added a son-in-law, Oscar, to our family, and the most amazing granddaughter, Lucia, entered the world early in 2023.
