I love the opportunity to teach science from the science text & the Bible simultaneously. I strive to reveal God’s incredible creation in a way that inspires a sense of awe from my students, possibly thinking about the miracle of creation in a new way.
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- Disconnected Kids by Robert Mellilo
- Parenting with Love and Logic by Foster Cline and Jim Fay
- 1000 Gifts by Ann Voscamp
- The Case for a Creator by Lee Strobel
- Scranimals by Jack Prelutsky
Outside the classroom, I enjoy our many family traditions of hiking, biking & travel. We feel blessed to have Colorado as our playground and also love to play in the Coeur D Alene, ID area.
Day to day, caring for my four children keeps me busy.
I am a Colorado native, and I met my husband at CSU; we’ve been married since 1993. After college, we lived in Mississippi, Arkansas, and mainly Texas before settling back in Colorado to start a family. We have three boys and an adopted daughter. We found her through foster care in 2014 when she was 6. I am a self-proclaimed science nerd who enjoys falling snow, painting, and walking my tan mini Golden Doodle Biscuit.
