My husband is in the military and we have had to move every 1-3 years, and our kids have been to many different schools across the country with all of the moves. FRCS embraced our kids since day one and the teachers have taken the time to really get to know our kids. I especially love the Christian family environment of the school and how teachers and students can freely share their faith.
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- How Now Shall We Live by Charles Colson
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
- Something Needs to Change: A call to make your life count in a world of urgent need by David Platt
- Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Lauren Hillenbrand
- A Practical Guide to Culture: Helping the next generation navigate today’s world by John Stonestreet and Brent Kunkle
We have a black lab/hound mix named Dorothy who I love to take on long walks. I also love watching my kids play sports (volleyball, soccer) and play their instruments (piano, drums). I like to hike, ski (downhill and cross country), read, and visit family in WA and VA. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids.
I grew up in the Apple Capital of the world, Wenatchee, WA, but have also lived in TX, MD, VA, CA, FL, TN, MO, and CO. I have been to 45 of our 50 states and hope to see the last 5 soon! My favorite states are WA and CO.
