I have loved FRCS ever since I stumbled across the website. My favorite thing is the strong community atmosphere — everyone here wants to support you and help you grow, and they truly love and care for you. Having gone to public schools my whole life, teaching in a Christian school was important to me to be able to pour into kids from the fullness of who I am in Christ. My favorite part about FRCS, though, is the focus on developing children through Christ at every single stage of their life.
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust by Immaculée Ilibagiza
- Wit by Margaret Edson
- Anxious People by Fredrick Backman
- Finding Rest by Jon Seidl
- Stop Asking Jesus into Your Heart: How to Know for Sure You Are Saved by J.D. Greear
Outside of school, I love binge-watching the newest Netflix show, going out and doing photography with friends or just in nature, reading and writing, and playing piano/singing. I’m also a big musical theatre buff (I grew up doing musical theatre from elementary-college!), and enjoy seeing shows in the community. My husband and I enjoy a good game night with our friends, taking our dog on lake walks, or trying new restaurants in the neighborhood.
I am truly obsessed with cows…I know they’re smelly and dirty, but I can’t get enough. I’m also obsessed with dogs! They’re all an explosion of joy in a little package.
