From the moment that I stepped foot on campus, I have used the word “refreshing” to describe this amazing community. It has been a joy getting to know the staff, students and families at Front Range Christian School, what a special place to be a part of! The people who call this place home are genuine and have a heart for God and others. Thank you for the opportunity to partner together to help the students here. I consider teaching to be an immense honor and privilege, not only because I get to help children learn and grow in all areas, but teaching in a Christian school allows me the chance to impart that knowledge and all of those learning experiences through the lens of God. It’s a blessing to help students grow and guide and train up the next generation to be all that God has planned for them to be.
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- Jesus Calling by Sarah Young
- Because God Told Me To by Morgan Colander
- What Happens When Women Say Yes to God by Lysa TerKeurst
- Overcoming Dyslexia by Dr. Sally Schaywitz
- Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol S. Dweck, PhD
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family outdoors jeeping, geocaching, fishing, exploring and walking our two puppies, Cora and Cooper. We also enjoy playing board games of all kinds, and you can find us watching sporting events and local theater productions, with the hope of one day being in a production together! Our family delights in serving within the church together. Recently, we joined the team to help start a new church plant close to home.
Reading, worship songs, boba tea, meeting new people (everyone has a story) and gardening are a few of the things that fill my cup. My family jokes that I should have been an interrogator or counselor because random people will share their life story with me, even just standing in the checkout line. It’s a special gift that I embrace!
