There are several aspects of teaching at FRCS that I appreciate and enjoy. I am thankful for the community among the staff and families. The focus on discipleship at all levels has impressed me, and I love being part of a school that emphasizes this for both leaders and learners. Finally, the encouragement to teach our students to think critically while loving God and obeying His Word is something I truly value.
Five books, other than the Bible, that have impacted my faith or career.
- Jesus Calling by Sarah Young
- Lies Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss
- Thunder and Rain by Charles Martin
- Plays by William Shakespeare
- Reading in the Wild by Donalyn Miller
Outside of FRCS, I enjoy being with my family. We enjoy exploring the State of Colorado and traveling, having family movie or game nights, and spoiling our dog. On my own, I love to read and journal, walk the spoiled dog, and sneak sweet treats!
I love to watch plays and musicals. Though others in my family are musical, I missed out on this ability. I would love to be able to “belt out” a song like these talented singers on Broadway. For now, I keep the singing to myself in the shower or in the car!
